"Pottery
was my first introduction to three-dimensional design. It was this passion that gave my
life focus and the courage to pursue the arts."
"However, after five
years perfecting the craft of throwing kitchenware, fate decided it was time for me to
change direction. I began to explore different mediums and possibilities. One day a deeply
rooted fascination surfaced. As a young boy I carried good luck charms, mostly small
carvings. I remember how I marvelled at these miniatures and the skill of sculpting so
intricately. As an adult I wanted to create these charms for myself. And to my amazement,
I discovered I could."
"Living in the
Cotswolds region of England, nature provides me with plenty of inspiration. One day, while
fueling my nieces' imaginations with stories of woodland creatures, the idea of carving
fairies presented itself. So upon my return to my studio I began to sculpt my first
fairy."
"Fairies are believed
by many to be the physical embodiment of love and harmony, messengers who guide us in our
daily lives in our pursuit of things spiritual. Each of my Fruit Faerie box figurines
represents an ideal a virtue that I strive to incorporate into my existence.
It is my hope that the Fruit Faeries bring joy to your life as well."
