The Artists' Choice Collection

The mystical light of the Faerie Moon illuminates all creatures that live between the heavens and earth, but the night skies in which she rises are not known, as the Faerie Moon's radiance is nearly imperceptible. So our Faerie Moon faeries tirelessly work to scatter the light so that all whom they encounter can bask in it.

Each Faerie Moon faerie is a mystic with a special message. Their homeland is unknown, though their language borrows from Gaelic, which places them somewhere around the British Isles. Through their words and deeds, they hope to teach you secrets about the universe. Their special wisdom was acquired from the world's great mystics, and we are told from the Faerie Moon herself.

"Pottery was my first introduction to three-dimensional design. It was this passion that gave my life focus and the courage to pursue the arts."

"However, after five years perfecting the craft of throwing kitchenware, fate decided it was time for me to change direction. I began to explore different mediums and possibilities. One day a deeply rooted fascination surfaced. As a young boy I carried good luck charms, mostly small carvings. I remember how I marvelled at these miniatures and the skill of sculpting so intricately. As an adult I wanted to create these charms for myself. And to my amazement, I discovered I could."

"Living in the Cotswolds region of England, nature provides me with plenty of inspiration. One day, while fueling my nieces' imaginations with stories of woodland creatures, the idea of carving fairies presented itself. So upon my return to my studio I began to sculpt my first fairy."

"Fairies are believed by many to be the physical embodiment of love and harmony, messengers who guide us in our daily lives in our pursuit of things spiritual. Each of my Fruit Faerie box figurines represents an ideal – a virtue – that I strive to incorporate into my existence. It is my hope that the Fruit Faeries bring joy to your life as well."

Each Box Figurine™ in the Faerie Moon™ collection is entirely handmade in the English Cotswolds under the artistic direction of Martin Perry. After Master Carver Adam Binder completes his original model, it is moulded and cast using a mixture of marble powder and resin. The casting is dipped into a specially formulated stain, and next it is gently polished and hand-finished. Your box figurine is then distributed to artisans who live throughout the English countryside for painting, using the time-honored tradition of cottage industry manufacturing. As such, no two pieces are alike. Martin and Adam personally inspect every sculpture, after which Adam signs and numbers each.
